We are a youth-led group fighting to make positive changes for our planet, beginning right here at home.

"I have learned that you are never too small to make a difference."
-Greta Thunberg, 17yr. old climate activist

Founder

Hey! I’m Ella. I am 13 years old and have grown up in the city of Scranton. Only in these past couple of years have I become more aware of climate change. I began to understand that there was a GIANT problem standing smack-dab in front of us. I think what’s motivated me to make this website and spread information on the climate crisis was seeing some amazing teenagers (Greta Thunberg) and others talk about climate change in a way that was inclusive and inspiring. I decided that for me to make a difference beyond just myself, I would have to get other people active and motivated. And that’s what I hope will happen to any young people specifically reading this website!

Founder

Hi! I’m Janine. I’m not native to Scranton, but I spent some time here and still have family ties to the area. A few years ago, I brushed off things like recycling and climate change. There’s not really anything I can do about it, I thought, and what difference can one person make anyway? Then, I traveled. I spent a year and half road tripping across the U.S. in a camper and what I came away with was life changing. In many ways I grew, not the least of which in the way I viewed our planet earth. No longer was the environment a broad concept to me. I found a new respect for Mother Nature and began to choose my actions and uses with more purpose. About a year later, I became a mom and, once again, my world changed. Now I was thinking about my son’s future, too.

Nadia

Hey to whoever is reading this!!
My name is Nadia and I am 16 years old. I attend Scranton High School and I’m in the class of 2023!! “Together and united, we are unstoppable.” That’s one of my favorite quotes by Greta Thunberg. Greta shows that despite being young, you CAN make a difference. No matter how little you do to try and reverse climate change it’s important that you at least make an effort. That’s why I have so much respect to this group because everyone here is trying to make a difference!!

Laura

Hello! I’m Laura I am 17 years old and have lived in Scranton my entire life. As a young person I truly believe that it is up to my generation to act against the ever-growing problem of climate change. Although the threat of climate change against our planet brings uncertainty and fear there are many things we can do to help the fight. I am always looking for ways to becoming more eco-friendly and after joining this group I can say that I have found an outlet to learn from others and share my own ideas to become more sustainable and eco-conscious. Although we are young we have the power and the voices to change the direction of climate change not only in Scranton but throughout the whole world.
